Òmnia

This service is aimed at brining the new information and communication technologies within the reach of the group of people with most access difficulties, i.e. young people, older people, women, immigrants, and groups of people with social integration difficulties, generally living in districts and zones characterised by social needs.

The Department of Justice is currently collaborating in the introduction of Òmnia in different penitentiary centres in Catalunya.

The Educational Platform Foundation manages a unique service in the district Font de la Pólvora in the city of Girona.

Location: The service is located within the district Font de la Pólvora in the city of Girona.

Foundation: The Òmnia project was created in 1999 as a joint initiative between the Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs and the Department of Universities, Research and the Information Society, aimed at meeting the social requirement for access to the new information and communication technologies.
The Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs of the Generalitat de Catalunya holds the overall responsibility for the project, which is operated by the Educational Platform Foundation.
